Well, we (and I) made it 2021!  The last year has been a helluva ride.

For me it wasn’t just COVID-19 and quarantines. Significant changes not only affected my scheduling, but my stamina.

Having reviewed all that has gone on in the last 365 days I made a decision to take most of not all of the last 3 weeks of the year off to rejuvenate.

I didn’t announce this because I felt it important to wait until I felt more energetic to talk about the whys and what things will look like for my little company moving forward.

First, I am not going anywhere. This is a good thing. Second, I am expanding and reopening One Mom and a Phone. No I am not hiring anyone, yet. I am still fleshing out that plan. Third, the site and its organization will go through a bit of a restructuring to make it easier to find more fetish specific information.

I am committing myself to a Monday-Friday Schedule of 9am-10pm (2 hour break from 6pm-8pm) EST. I will not have hours earlier or later than this. Please get into the habit of checking to see if I am available first before you call.  On Saturdays I will have open availability. Sundays I plan to take off. This is a flexible plan with 10pm EST during the week being the absolute latest I can take calls.

In moving forward, the availability indicator is the best way to determine whether or not I am taking calls.

For those of you who have checked my site repeatedly only to find me not here, I apologize. It is not my intent to abandon or not be around. However, my every commitment to being at my optimum when I take calls is my priority. I feel that because you are paying to talk to me I owe you to be at my best. And I have really struggled through the last few months of the year last year.

I am grateful for those of you who have stuck with me despite the bumps in the road. With renewed fervor, however, I plan to rebuild, regroup and re-Amaze as I have always done.

While I do not like to post negative commentary on my blog, I want to share something that happened to me shortly before I took the week off:

A customer, somewhat long term regular of mine, called and did not meet the criteria to get a rate break. After hearing he had not made the cut he indicated he didn’t want to continue with the call. This upset me. I spent time working on fantasies for this person and most of the time I expended I was not paid to do.

I am not complaining nor am I necessarily mad at the client. I did however tell him not to call back. You may wonder why?

Well, because if you are looking for discounts on minutes or bargain phone sex this isn’t the place to get it. When this happened I reviewed the amount of time I have spent cultivating fantasies and client relationships. Most of that time I do not ask for monetary compensation. However, I find it pretty insulting that on top of that the gentleman above asked for a rate break. Especially since he hadn’t called more than 6 times last year.

I know it stinks to be reminded that this is a business, but I am running a business. My time is valuable and if I am offering you a special then it is because you’ve spent money with me.

That’s why I am resetting all call rates back to $2.50/min. Rate breaks given on a case by case basis based on frequency of calls.

In return, I will be more engaged in answering emails, chatting and tweeting. I feel this is a fair trade.

I am grateful to live to fight another day. Let’s make 2021 the hottest year for phone fun, ok? I’m happy to be on the ride with you.
